Just Another 2025 AFC Season Prediction...
By Rodany Mendez

Frankly, I'm tired of the disrespect, so I set out to give my Lions what they deserve--a 1st place prediction! We're going to speak it into existence!

But first!!! The AFC.

AFC East
1. Miami Dolphins
2. Buffalo Bills
3. New York Jets
4. New England Patriots

I'd like to choose differently that the other prognosticators but the Dolphins do have an already elite QB in Tua, a fully developed speed demon in Waddle, an upcoming running back in Achane, and also stud LE (former Lions too) plucked off of free agency in Julian Okwara. Buffalo isn't quite there yet but their time is coming with Penix Jr but they could surprise, especially if Tua cannot remain healthy for the entire season. The Jets have some pieces in place but their QB room is severely lacking at the moment (maybe they should deal for developable young vet like Zappe?). The Pats have the curse of DeShaun Watson now and won't see any success until their masseuses are safe.

AFC North
1. Cleveland Browns
2. Cincinatti Bengals
3. Baltimore Ravens
4. Pittsburg Steelers

The Riddler, as in Desmond Ridder, is going to take the division even though he's not the best QB in it--not even 2nd best. But the surrounding roster is pretty good and the Bengal's QB Joe Burrow isn't over how he was treated last season by their GM. He'll throw a couple games like he just did week 1 with 4 INTs, overhype an injury to miss a couple more, then demand to be traded at season's end even if they make the playoffs. It still should be a right 3-team race for first with the Ravens and Lamar Jackson in the mix. The rebuilding Pittsburg Steelers have trotted out their rookie QB so I think it's safe to assume they've dedicated this year to developing him which means ALOT of growing pains(and losses). Good luck to the Browns in week 2 vs the Pack! Mash'em good for me!

AFC South
1. Houston Texans
2. Jacksonville Jaguars
3. Indianapolis Colts
4. Tennessee Titans

I really like the speed of the Texans on defense but they also have the most developed QB in the division, CJ Stroud, who is looking like he's ready to step it up to the next level. Watching Will Anderson Jr play strong safety pretty cool to watch too, and I'm curious to see what kind of stat line he ends up with after the year is done with. The Jags have the talent to repeat but they do have a couple of holes, mainly on the OL. I'm looking for a breakout year for WR Brian Thomas Jr, and also for Etienne to continue to look amazing behind the lackluster OL. I don't think the Colts got much better this offseason, and although the Titans did improve more IMO, they still have Levis as QB, and he is BUNZ at the moment. They might as well have traded me CB Sneed this offseason but apparently Tim doesn't like me much right now even though I forgave his really active rooting for the Packers at Lambeau as Chiefs fan. Lions still won though! Smile

AFC West
1. Kansas City Chiefs
2. Denver Broncos
3. Vegas Raiders
4. Los Angeles Chargers

Kansas City was pretty active this offseason, but I think they got significantly worse. Why they made some of the moves they did, I'm not sure. I think there was a lot of brews being tested while all of this was occurring. Yet, they will win this division again mainly bc of Kermit the Frog and Isaiah Pacheco. The rest of the AFC West isn't quite ready to make the leap, but the Broncos are on the come up, and Las Vegas made quite a few good moves as well, especially on defense. The Raiders are unfortunately handicapped bc they decided Aidan O'Connell is the answer. If things go sour early, maybe I can finally land Maxx Crosby(probably not). The Chargers are beginning the rebuilding of that "shit" Super
Bowl roster, and it started with dealing QB Herbert, apparently the only good player they had(lol). They won't be down for long though, so take advantage of them while it's possible.

AFC Playoff Seedings
1. Miami Dolphins
2. Kansas City Chiefs
3. Houston Texans
4. Cleveland Browns
5. Jacksonville Jaguars
6. Cincinatti Bengals

I don't think my predictions are much different from the rest save for a team or two, so this wasn't as interesting as I thought it might be setting out. I still hope there's a few surprises. Time to work on the putting some respect on the Lions name with the NFC predictions!
